Commemoration of 63rd anniversary of Palestinian Nakba

May 15th, 2011 was the 63rd anniversary of Palestinian Nakba were Palestinians had been expelled from their homes by Israeli forces during 1948 war. iYouth members decided to celebrate the event but in a different way than usual.

On May 21st, 2011, iYouth members went to an UNRWA school to give the students a lesson about how to express their feelings in a non-violent ways like dialogue, music, and art.

After finishing the lesson, youth helped students to express their feelings about Nakba anniversary by Art. Two Palestinian artists (Nabil Abu Ghanima and Salman Al Nawati) shared their time with the children, helped them drawing and painting.

While the students were drawing their own drawings, the two artists made a drawing expressing the Nakba anniversary.
